Adaptive Power & Health Management
An Altheray architecture for the battery, power distribution and health information of an autonomous platform.

The requirement
An autonomous platform needs a view of its power system that reaches beyond battery charge. The architecture brings together supply status, distribution, protection and telemetry so that the platform can respond to changing loads and operating conditions.
Distribution and protection
The work considers how power reaches each subsystem, which loads take priority and how a fault can be contained. Battery monitoring, protective switching and thermal supervision belong in the same architecture as the control and communication interfaces.
Useful health information
Telemetry needs to tell the operator or supervisory system what is happening, with enough context to act. The integration work connects battery and power-distribution information to platform health, rather than treating each measurement as an isolated signal.
From architecture to implementation
The next stage depends on the platform: battery chemistry, load profile, environmental conditions, interfaces and required fault response. Those inputs set the protection strategy, component choices and verification plan. Implementation and verification are defined against those requirements.
